We started our journey in June 2022, even with lots of research we didn’t 100% know what we were getting into. Initially, me and my wife wanted to opt for IUI with donor sperm but after meeting with the consultant we opted for IVF as it had a higher success rate.
Throughout our entire treatment we were made to feel incredibly comfortable, no question was too silly, and we were reassured every step of the way.

The process is an emotional rollercoaster, we almost had to stop our treatment at one point due to a large cyst on my ovary, but it was decided that we could carry on and remove the cyst during egg collection if needed – luckily the cyst had gone by the time I had my egg collection. I believe we got 10 eggs, 9 of which fertilised.

I had my transfer on the 19th October 2022 and found out I was pregnant on Halloween; we were incredibly lucky that it worked first time for us.
I gave birth to a healthy boy in June 2023.
We are so incredibly grateful to all the staff for making this possible for us and for making us feel so comfortable!
We have frozen our remaining embryos in the hope to eventually have another baby.
