Sam
Clinical Embryologist
Sam completed the Scientist Training Programme (STP) and has been registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Clinical Scientist since 2018. Prior to this, she worked as a Laboratory Associate at the clinic from 2013. Sam holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science and a Master’s degree with Distinction in Clinical Science (Cellular Science: Reproductive Science) which was completed as part of the STP. She is a member of the Association of Reproductive and Clinical Scientists (ARCS) and participates in the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) scheme.
Along with day-to-day Embryology tasks, Sam is responsible for coordinating the transport of patient gametes and embryos and reporting data to the HFEA via PRISM. She has a particular interest in technologies that can be used to improve efficiency and patient experience. Sam also has a strong passion for problem solving, providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to colleagues across a range of specialist clinic systems.
Sam is also the clinic’s Health & Safety Officer ensuring the clinic maintains a safe environment at all times.
