Laura Mason
Clinical Embryologist / Deputy Lab Manager
Laura is a Clinical Embryologist with over 15 years experience in IVF. She joined Hull and East Riding Fertility in 2012, is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Clinical Scientist. Laura holds a Masters with Distinction in Assisted Reproduction Technology from the University of Nottingham, a degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Newcastle and a Post Graduate Certificate in Genomic Medicine from the University of Newcastle.
Laura is the Deputy Laboratory Manager for the Embryology team, assisting with the daily running of the laboratory and the Lead for the Andrology Laboratory. In addition, she is responsible for the Sperm Donor Programme and takes a key role in Quality Management and clinic accreditations. Laura has a special interest in ensuring reproductive autonomy for all, striving to improve fertility care for the LGBTQ+ community and has a key role in transgender fertility care at the Clinic.
Prior to joining the Hull team, Laura worked at a private practice fertility clinic in the South of England and she also has experience of working at a fertility clinic in Sydney, Australia.
